Here are the answers to most of your questions about how this works.

You may print the course text or read it on your computer. You may study where you like. You may study when you like, on the schedule that suits you, taking breaks as you wish. You may do part at one time, part at another time, and finish when it suits you. Keep track of your actual study hours and dates. MCLE credit is limited to your actual study hours. Tuition is $20 per actual study hour, up to the maximum hours specified for the course. For example, if you spend 3 hours or more on a 3 hour course, the tuition is $60, but if your actual study time is 2.5 hours, the tuition is adjusted down to $50. You do not have to sign up or pay before you begin. Just click on the course name to see the course materials. When you finish your study, click on the discussion link and go to the discussion; then click on the registration link to register one time; and the certify your hours and pay link to report your actual study hours for each course and pay. If you are a Texas lawyer, we will report your hours to the State Bar of Texas and the course number will be in your certificate that appears after you certify your hours and pay. The listed hours are regular Texas "participatory" hours, just like you get when you go to in person course. In other states the rules and reporting process vary, so we can discuss it with each of you who are affected. If you have any problems, call us at 602-770-5906 or email us at ahawkins@youknowitall.com. If you email, it is wise to include a phone number so we may call if that will work better. A tip - The most common error is failing to identify the course when certifying time. It is easy. Just scroll down the list of courses on the "scroll down menu" to the name of the course, as the instruction says. That is how we know which course you took. If you forget to do that, the next page will show no hours of credit and that you should go back and try again. If that happens, just go back and scroll down to the name of the course.
